Ally Ewing

Ally Ewing

Ally Ewing was the stand-out performer from the opening two days of the 2023 AIG Women’s Open at Walton Heath.

The American compiled a superb 66 on the Friday - the lowest round of the week - to earn a five-shot lead at halfway, although was ultimately unable to maintain this form over the weekend.

Continued her strong major form into 2024, achieving three top-10 finishes.

Ewing won her third LPGA title at the Kroger Queen City Championship in 2022, thanks to a brilliant six-under-par final round to pip Lin Xiyu by one.

Her first LPGA Tour victory came on her 28th birthday in 2020 and she added her second in 2021.

She made her Solheim Cup debut as a wild card at Gleneagles in 2019, combining with Angel Yin for a crushing 7&5 win over Anna Nordqvist and Caroline Hedwall in her first game.

Ewing was called in as replacement for the injured Stacy Lewis in 2021 and had another fourball win, this time with Nelly Korda as her partner.
