Caroline Inglis made Championship history in 2024 by carding a second-round 66, the joint-lowest round recorded in an AIG Women's Open at St Andrews.

Inglis had recorded her best major finish earlier in the year, tying for ninth at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.

The 2024 AIG Women's Open was her first Championship appearance since 2020, when she finished 22nd at Royal Troon.

The University of Oregon graduate was a winner close to St Andrews in 2021, claiming victory in the Rose Ladies Series event at Scotscraig.
