Chanettee Wannasaen

Chanettee Wannasaen

Secured her maiden LPGA victory at last year's Portland Classic and a second followed at the Dana Open in July.

A top 25 finish in the Trust Golf Scottish Open at Dundonald Links in 2022 was good enough to give Wannasaen the second of three Muirfield places on offer to players not already exempt.

The then-teenage Thai golfer went into the event 392nd on the Rolex Rankings, but broke par in all four rounds in finishing nine-under-par.

It came less than a month after she won the 54-hole Trust Golf Links tournament on the Ladies European Tour Access Series at Ramside Hall in County Durham, where her 11-under aggregate included a second round 64.

After not making a single major in 2023, Wannasaen will have featured in all five this year, with her best finished to date a tie for 17th at The Evian Championship.
