European amateur champion in 2013 and winner of the Women’s Amateur title at Royal St George's the following season, Emily Kristine Pedersen became Rookie of the Year on the Ladies European Tour in 2015 after twice finishing second and then capturing the Hero Indian Open.
Pedersen won four more times on the circuit in 2020, and, having previously played in the Junior Ryder Cup and Junior Solheim Cup, she made her Solheim Cup debut in 2017.
She was one of Europe’s stars in 2021 after topping the qualifying race. Two wins alongside Charley Hull were followed by her being put in the anchor role for the singles by captain Catriona Matthew and her 12-foot birdie putt on the final green gave her victory over Danielle Kang and her side a thrilling 15-13 triumph. Pedersen won a further 2.5 points as Europe retained the prize in 2023.
Pedersen's best return in the AIG Women's Open is a T11 finish at Royal Troon in 2020.
