After two runner-up finishes, Lisa Pettersson claimed her maiden victory on the Ladies European Tour by winning the Helsingborg Open in 2023, thanks to an eagle on the 72nd hole.

"I don’t really know what happened out there," she said. "I’m in shock, but it feels good. I skipped one of my best friends’ weddings this week to play in this event. She was understanding but I’m sure she will understand even more now."

The win in the Helsingborg Open secured her place in her first major; the AIG Women's Open at Walton Heath.
