Li hit the headlines in 2014 when she teed off in round one of the US Women’s Open at Pinehurst aged 11 years, eight months and 19 days. She remains the youngest player in the championship’s history.

A decade on, the Californian makes her AIG Women’s Open debut as a two-time winner on the Epson Tour.

She booked her place at St Andrews as one of the top 25 players not already exempt on the 2024 LPGA Race to CME Globe Points List.
