Finished as joint runner-up, one stroke behind Anna Nordqvist, at Carnoustie in 2021 after a last-hole bogey robbed her of the chance of going into a play-off with her fellow Swede.
It was the 29-year-old's first top-10 finish in a major, but she then contended again in the AIG Women's Open at Muirfield in 2022, finishing joint fourth.
Sagstrom's efforts at Carnoustie led to her being named as one of six wild cards for that September’s Solheim Cup in Ohio, where her singles win over Ally Ewing helped Europe to a thrilling 15-13 victory. She made her debut in the team match in 2017, again as a captain’s pick, and beat Austin Ernst in the singles on that occasion.
Sagstrom was three times a winner on the Symetra Tour in 2016, and after gaining promotion to the main LPGA circuit opened her 2020 campaign with a one-shot victory over Nasa Hataoka at the Gainbridge tournament at Boca Rio in Florida.
Achieved her best major finish since Muirfield at the 2024 Evian Championship with a tie for 12th.
She also represented Sweden at the Tokyo Olympics.
