Nanna Koerstz Madsen

Nanna Koerstz Madsen

Nanna Koerstz Madsen was the joint third-round leader with Anna Nordqvist in the 2021 AIG Women’s Open, but it was the Swede who went on to win as Madsen finished tied-fifth.

She was one of three uncapped wildcards for the 2021 Solheim Cup in America and did not let captain Catriona Matthew down with a second-day fourball win alongside Carlota Ciganda against Jessica Korda and Megan Khang and then a singles half with Austin Ernst in Europe’s thrilling win.

Madsen beat Xiyu Janet Lin in sudden death in Thailand in March 2022 to become the first Danish winner on the LPGA Tour. Two weeks later she was in another play-off, finishing runner-up to Jeeno Thitikul in the JTBC Classic.
