Royal Lytham & St Annes

Summer, 2026

Breaking barriers and records for half a century, the AIG Women’s Open will celebrate its 50th staging at Royal Lytham & St Annes in 2026.

One of the most revered courses in the world, it will be the sixth time the luscious Lancashire links will have hosted our prestigious Championship, having last opened its doors for Georgia Hall’s heartwarming victory in 2018.

Lytham has also welcomed some of the biggest and best events golf has to offer including The Open on 11 occasions and the Ryder Cup twice – as well as The Amateur Championship, the Senior Open and the Walker Cup.

Tickets

Tickets will be available to buy in 2025 – and we expect demand to be sky high for this landmark staging.

Last time out

England’s Georgia Hall reigned supreme the last time the AIG Women’s Open was staged at Royal Lytham & St Annes, in 2018.

A first home success since Catriona Matthew in 2009, this victory was made all the more special because Georgia’s dad Wayne was her caddie for the week.

A fantastic five-under-par final round helped Georgia finish two shots clear of Thailand’s Pornanong Phatlum to earn her a first major title.
